I'm about four chapters into Marianne Williamson's "The Gift of Change." i've not read her work before, though I know of it. this particular book I picked up in a quaint spiritualist camp (Casadaga, Florida) after receiving a reading from the best psychic ever, Philomena.

Philomena said, "You're a worrier, aren't you?"

zippy said, "Oh, yeah."

Philomena said, "Tell yourself to worry about it tomorrow."

So now that I'm reading this book, I must say I was not expecting such "God" talk but have been able to get past the decidedly Christian based perspective and reach into the vast messages behind it. And you know what? It's resounding. Absolutely reverberating through every nuance of what i am currently experiencing in my life.

The universe keeps giving me gifts to embark on this new -- or long overdue, I should say -- journey, but I keep withholding from them. Withholding because I'm not in a financial position to pursue them, though I keep seeking them out. Withholding because every answer I have for the profound questions effecting my life is fluid. Withholding because fear is an excuse. And fear is limiting.

My fear has so many layers at this time, only some of them for myself directly. The others are for someone else entirely.

Philomena said, "Are you married?"

zippy said, "yes."

Philomena said, "How's that working for you?"

zippy said, "We're not communicating very well."

Philomena blinked.

zippy said, "I've asked for a separation.'

Philomena said, "Then I'll tell you what I don't normally like to tell people, but you're already aware. There's no amount of counseling that's going to work.. . . it's time for you to move on. . . "
