Him: "Why didn't you come to bed last night?"

Me: " I was sick and didn't want to wake you."

Him: "When I woke up and you weren't there I was really worried. I thought, 'What if someone broke in and stole zippy?'"

Me: "I'm sorry."

Him: "Then I thought 'Wow. I hope the dog's ok.'"
